The staff of the Police Accounts Office is as follows:-

Accountant's Duties,

Revenue. He is responsible to the Captain Superintendent of Police for 11 Public Moneve collected by the Police

Department for Licences Etc.

To see that the licences are correctly issued and to supervise the issue of licences.

To see that all bills are prompt) y rendered and that the amounts due are collected.

Expenditure. To check all vouchers for expenditure before they are submitted to the Captain Superintendent of Police for signature. To verify that all accounts passed for payment are in accordance with the orders and contracte and that they are debited against the correct votes.

To make out all personal emolument paylists for the Fire Brigade.

To make out all cheques for the payment of the Police and Fire Brigade salaries and other charges.

Imprest Account. To make all advances authorised by the Captain Superintendent of Police and to see that amounts so expended are recovered.

Subsidery Accounts. Deportee Accountą.

Advances are drawn

from the Treasury for these accounts and the accountant is

responsible that all payments made are recovered from the

various Governments and firms. He makes out the vouchers
